Beer Cheese Dip

I still have an old fashion recipe box that I put some of my mom's, mother-in-law and recipes from my aunts in!  They had collected seasonal cookbooks and recipes cut out of magazines.

I always looked forward to the Betty Crocker seasonal cookbooks, and have quite a collection over the years.

There were four magazine covers that were up for the vote: Red Velvet Whoopie Pies, Jack-o´-Lantern Cake Pops, Ginger-Cherry-Pear Crisp with Oatmeal Topping and Bakerella, the queen of cupcake pops

In the issue of the Betty Crocker Fall Baking Magazine were 74 recipes cards with perforations so you can tear them out and put in your recipe box.

* Exclusive recipes like Jack-o´-Lantern Cake Pops from Bakerella, the queen of cupcake pops
* Whoopie Pies in new flavors like Pumpkin Whoopie Pies and Red Velvet Whoopie Pies
* Pecan-Bourbon Crunch Italian Cream Cups, the grand prize winner from our Celebrate the Season Fall Baking Contest +14 other winners, submitted by home cooks
* Pumpkin Swirl Brownies, Peanut Butter Rocky Road Brownies plus lunch box cookies
* Great-tasting apple desserts -Easy Apple-Cranberry Dessert Squares, Cinnamon Apple Berry Crisp and Brown Sugar Spice Cake with Caramelized Apples
* Plus spooktacular treats like Pull-Apart Spiderweb, Candy Corn Roll-Up Cookies, Chocolate Bat Cookies and Peanut Butter Spider Cookies
* All recipes have been thoroughly tested and tasted in the Betty Crocker Test Kitchens and are accompanied by a color photo and complete nutrition information.

I'd like to share my favorite Beer Cheese Spread recipe with you. It's perfect for crisp afternoon Fall Football Tailgating parties!

Beer Cheese Spread Recipe

This is a great cheese spread that's quick and easy to prepare. Wynkoop suggests using its Railyard Ale in the spread, but any full-bodied ale can be used. Its strong flavor can enough to stand up to the biggest, hoppiest beers, even a barley wine. Serve it with crackers, warm pretzels or beer bread.

Beer Cheese Spread

6 ounces cream cheese, softened
6 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
12 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 cup minced green onions
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 cup Beer or Ale

Combine all ingredients except beer in the bowl of a food processor or use an electric mixer
Mix or blend until everything is well incorporated.
Slowly add beer while processor or mixer is running. Place mixture into a crock or serving bowl, and chill for at least 2 hours.

Salsa | Sausage Sliders Meat Scramble | Appetizer Recipe

Here's a family favorite Slides Recipe appetizer idea using ground beef and salsa that I serve whenever I have guests over or bring along to parties or serve at Holidays, Super Bowl, March Madness or Game Day.

Salsa Sausage Sliders Meat Scramble

Fresh Sun City Salsa Sausage Sliders Recipes

I'm from New England, and we Yankees are known for luvin' our comfort food and our sports teams. It gets mighty cold here during the winter, and this winter has been particularly brutal for us. We have at least 4 feet of snow on the ground, ice dams on the roofs and the weather forecasters keep predicting more of the same!

Just because we're north of the Mason-Dixon Line, and East of the Mississippi, doesn't mean we can't enjoy our share of hot and spicy foods. We definitely are fortunate to have our share of authentic non-chain, family owned Mexican, Hispanic and Latina bodegas and restaurants that serve up magnificent healthy traditional cuisine and snacks including fish, burritoschimichangas, and tacos along with made-on-the premises fresh salsa.

But did you know you can also get the same authentic taste of fresh salsa right in the dairy case at Wal-Mart? Si pero puede!

This slider recipe is so versatile! Spread it on English muffin or mini bagels, top with Salsa Sensations and the kids have a healthy breakfast to run out the door to catch the school bus before school. When spread on party rye bread, the Meat Scramble sliders will make a satisfying after-school snack.

Meat Scramble becomes an instant favorite of guests during Holiday Parties, New Year's Eve or Brunch or Game Day and Super Bowl parties when served on mini bagels or English muffins. Make them extra-special on Homemade Sourdough English Muffins too !

Salsa Sliders Recipe Appetizer

These are so easy to prepare. If you're making some freezer meal mixes ahead for OAMC, put several of these appetizers into your freezer for when unexpected guests stop over!

Honey Roasted Almond Cherry Cheese Ball Recipe | Cream Cheese Balls

Serve this festive Cherry Cheese Ball recipe with mini toast points or small crackers. Honey roasted sliced almonds are used more often in salads and can be found in packages in the produce or salad section of the grocery store.

Almond Cherry Cheese Ball Recipe

Cream Cheese Ball Appetizers

My mother-in-law was the proprietor of a cheese and gourmet food store in Connecticut.  I used to work the store between Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years helping to make cheese balls.  We'd chop the walnuts using an old food grinder!

Try substituting dried cranberries in this cream cheese ball for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's parties. You can also use Neufchâtel cheese in place of cream cheese. Maybe even make it out of your favorite softened cheese spread.

Be sure to check out some other delicious recipe for cheese balls and dips for entertaining throughout the year. This cheese ball most certainly deserves placement on your charcuterie board !
