Ingredients:
1 packet active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup creamed cottage cheese, heated to luke-warm
2 tbl sugar
1 tbl instant minced onion
1 tbl butter
2 tsp dill seed
1 tsp butter
1 tsp salt
1/4 unbeaten egg
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cup flour
Preparation:
Soften yeast in water.
Combine in mixing bowl cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, soda, egg and softened yeast.
Add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition. Cover.
Let rise in warm place 85 to 90f. until light and double in size, about 50 to 60 min. Stir down dough.
Turn into well-greased 8 inc. round 1 1/2 or 2 qts. casserole.
Let rise in warm place until light, 30 to 40 min. Bake at 350 for 40 to 50 min. until golden brown.
Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
Makes 1 round loaf.
