When entertaining in summer, seafood is the thing - and the thing is Hot Shrimp Dip here in New England!
Here's a wonderful old favorite recipe for New England Shrimp dip - serve with your favorite crackers, or veggies or in a bread bowl.
You may also substitute crab meat, clams or chopped clams for the shrimp.

Of course, be mindful of those friends and family who may be allergic to shellfish, so it's always good to have another dip on the table.
Shrimp Dip Recipe
shrimp or 1 can minced clams
1 tsp lemon juice
1 chopped onion
1 clove crushed garlic
1 tsp parsley
1/4 lb butter
1 tsp oregano
dash tabasco
Parmesan cheese, to taste
paprika, to taste (for color)
1/2 cup bread crumbs
4 oz grated cheddar cheese
Preparation:
- Simmer frozen or fresh shelled and deveined shrimp or chopped clams, and juice with lemon juice until no longer pink.
- Combine onion, garlic, parsley, butter, oregano and tabasco.
- Mix with seafood and lemon juice.
- Add 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs.
- Put in shallow dish and cover with grated cheddar cheese
- sprinkle with parmesan cheese and paprika.
- Bake 350 for 20 min.
